PRIMARY pupils are gearing up for the run of their lives to help raise money for new school equipment.
Youngsters from Keevil Primary School will be taking part in races to raise money to buy new interactive white boards for their classrooms. A day of races and entertainment will be held at Keevil airfield, culminating in a 10km run open to any entrants.
Organiser Claire Kelly said: "It's a good opportunity to bring the local community together, we have invited the local schools to join in the fun. We just want people to come along and enjoy the day."
The event will feature a host of entertainments for all the family, including cream teas, a barbecue and other refreshments, military displays, birds of prey, aircraft, a bouncy castle, go-karts, a clown workshop, children's games and craft stalls. There will also be an under 7s dash, an under 16s race and various other children's races throughout the morning, with prizes for the winners as well as the best dressed competitors.
The main races will begin at midday, with a £10 entrance fee, and there will be a £2 entrance fee for each car full of people.

A giant jigsaw was the result of an art venture held at the school as part of its family learning project.
About 28 parents were each given a small piece of a picture and all came into the school to put it together on Friday. They created their own version of Tiger in a Tropical Storm, by 19th century French painter Henri Rousseau, which is now on display at the school.
