I MUST disagree with Andy Newman about proportional representation.
Our voting system may seem purely party politics but we do actually vote for a person to represent us not a party.
The Labour party have tainted PR with what happened in the Welsh Assembly elections.
A Labour candidate who was tipped to lead the Labour group lost on a head-to-head vote.
The electorate had rejected him but they put him in on PR.
So, while the present system may seem unfair, it does give us a chance to reject candidates we think are unsuitable.
If you want PR then we must be allowed some choice over candidates and not just leave it to the various parties.
