77415-9WORKERS in South Marston felt decidedly fruity considering it was quite early in the morning.
That's because the staff at OTM were holding a Fruity Friday event to raise money for the World Cancer Research Fund.
OTM deals with print management, direct mail and transactional mail and is an expert in postage and distribution.
The World Cancer Research Fund is a client of OTM which recently changed its name from ADM Fulfilment. Account manager Catherine Crowe said the morning had been a great success.
It raised £210 for the charity, with OTM's chairman Peter De Haan pledging to double that amount.
Catherine said: "Sainsbury's in Stratton donated the fruit, which was fantastic and we were very grateful to them to enable us to take part in the event, which was national."
As well as raising money, the Fruity Friday party aimed to raise awareness of the need to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables each day, and there was information on hand for staff.
Studies have shown that the risk of cancer can be significantly reduced by increasing fruit and vegetables in a diet, taking regular exercise and avoiding becoming overweight.
"Everyone here was supporting it too, and having smoothies and pancakes for breakfast.
