TO disbelieve that the illness ME exists, or that it must be all in the mind because there is, so far, no definitive diagnostic test for it, is not only illogical and unjust but the height of the scientific arrogance.
The notion that, if all current medical tests prove negative, the patient can't have it, assumes that medicine must know everything there is to know and that the patient must be guilty of malingering until proved innocent with genuine illness.
Those who still doubt that ME is a serious neurological illness with an, as yet, unknown cause, should remember that multiple sclerosis for example, was also once considered psychological.
