NETTLES are usually considered a troublesome weed with a loathsome sting.

But Nature for All, a Swindon Services Ranger project, is trying to change this common perception with a forthcoming event.

They will be holding an adventure day where you can discover the nicer side of nettles and learn about their importance to wildlife.

There will also be the chance to join in with arts and crafts and even try some nettle tea.

The event is being held at Seven Field Local Nature Reserve, Swindon, on Sunday at noon.

This is a free family event.

People are asked to wear sensible clothes and footwear.
