Shirley Mathias is right to be indignant about case of the teacher who was found not guilty of assaulting one of his pupils.

We should all be indignant that while Clive Harding has been under investigation and suspended from teaching, his school has been compelled to use its scarce resources to employ others to cover for him.

The school therefore has had less money to spend on all the well behaved hardworking pupils.

It may not be politically correct to stigmatise a child as a trouble maker, but the rest of the community pay a high price for that political correctness.
