COUNCILLORS representing residents in Gorse Hill are calling for a crackdown on cyclists riding on pavements.
In response to residents' concerns, John and Ray Ballman and Maurice Fanning want action taken to stop cyclists flouting the law.
Traders say riders tearing along pavements in the area have sent pensioners and mothers, pushing children in prams, sprawling.
Police are cracking down on those cyclists who break the law in the town centre.
They say any offences witnessed in Gorse Hill will be 'dealt with accordingly'.
