The Golden Ball Hill circle with detailed inset 16191/6AFTER the first crop circle of the season appeared at Golden Ball Hill in the Pewsey Vale, farm manager Jack Torrens issued a warning that anyone caught making them on his land would be prosecuted.
The rose petal pattern has appeared in a field of yellow oil seed rape at Alton Barnes.
It's in the same place as a much larger formation that appeared in a crop of wheat last year.
The field is part of the West Stowell Estate owned by the Rothschild family. Manager Mr Torrens this week repeated the warning he issued last year that he regards the crop circles as criminal damage and he would report anyone found making one to the police.
He said: "We farmers are all fed up with this happening every year."
Mr Torrens said he would not allow access by the public to see the crop circle or any others on estate land during the summer.
The manager added: "What they have done is totally irresponsible. They did it at the petal stage and if you brush the petals of oil seed rape you lower the yield."
