SARSEN Housing Association has launched a major community survey to find out what tenants think about their neighbourhoods and how Sarsen can improve them.
Over the next few weeks postcards will be dropping on residents' doormats in neighbourhoods around Devizes and Marlborough to encourage residents to tell Sarsen what matters to them. Questionnaires will then follow in the post.
Sarsen tenant, John Kelsey of Marlborough, said: "The survey is just what this area needs. I'd like to see more activities for younger people and they should be encouraged to get involved in making a difference to their community."
Residents can post back their completed questionnaires in the freepost envelope provided or pop along to one of Sarsen's 'chips and chat' and walkabout sessions between 3pm and 7pm in the following areas:
n Wednesday, May 25: Waiblingen Way, Devizes;
n Wednesday, June 15: The Avenues, Devizes.
Stuart Davies, managing director of Sarsen, said: "This is a perfect opportunity for residents to tell us about their bugbears and let us know what improvements they would like to see in their communities.
"Problems like nuisance behaviour, abandoned vehicles and fly tipping are the work of a relatively small percentage of people, and very often not those living in the areas affected, but they spoil life for the majority.
"Together we can tackle these issues and I would urge all residents to fill in a questionnaire and let us know what they think."
All returned questionnaires will be treated confidentially, but residents who give their name will be entered into a prize draw and could win a cash prize of £100, £75 or £50.
This major survey is being carried out with the help of the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) and Voluntary Action Kennet (VAK).
