The group relies on such donations to buy new equipment.
President of the North Swindon Lions, Sam Rose, helped collect the donations from members of the public to buy the new machine.
Mr Rose said: "The club is run by the members and they rely on donations from people like us.
"It is an ongoing thing that the Lions do to help groups who need it.
"We are a charitable organisation and we give up our spare time to help people."
The gardens project, based in Cricklade Road, Purton Stoke, teaches horticultural skills to adults with learning disabilities, and is based in Cricklade Road, Purton Stoke.

Bruce Porter, principal oft the project, said he was thrilled with the new mower.
He said: "I think the Lions are fantastic. We have around an acre and a half of grass to cut at the project.
"We have lawn mowers going from dawn to dusk.
"We had to retire the last one through ill health so to get a brand new one was great."
