GAZETTE & HERALD: FROM a glorious English-style garden to blooms on a rooftop green fingered onlookers were treated to a feast at the annual West Kington open weekend.
The owners of nine village gardens threw open their gates to raise in excess of £4,500 for St Mary's Church and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
St Mary's is one of 10 medieval churches in the parish and is in desperate need of cash.
The popular annual event, which attracted between 400-500 visitors, also included plant stalls, teas and lunches. Two of the more prestigious gardens open were Pound Hill Nursery Garden and Manor Farm Garden.
Garden owner Tim Smith said: "We raised a record amount this year and we are all delighted."
