GAZETTE & HERALD: YOUNG footballers are hoping to score a double on Sunday at the next giant car boot sale at Castle Combe circuit near Chippenham.
Castle Combe Colts Football Club, which has 300 members, will be out in force fundraising for a new tractor and mower to maintain their pitch.
Club chairman Nigel Gale said: "We have an elderly mower and the tractor has packed up, so we are looking to replace this equipment and we are hoping for good weather and some generous support from the bargain hunters," he said.
The car boot sale is ranked as one of the largest in the region and attracts hundreds of stalls and thousands of bargain-hunters. The sales are open from 9am to 2pm, with large vans charged £25, cars £8 and small vans or cars with trailers £10.
