TROWBRIDGE Town's young guns defeated their past masters on Saturday as many of the club's former stars returned to Woodmarsh.
Neil Kirkpatrick's current side played against a former Town side managed by John Murphy, Bob Baird and Peter Higgins and included many of the players who helped Trowbridge reach the FA Vase semi final in 1991.
Marcus Bray, Keith Knight and Lea James were among those to return but they were unable to stop Kirkpatrick's side taking a 3-1 victory.
Matt Cooper grabbed two goals, with Ricky Trott scoring the other, while the old boys replied through Lee Wilson's own goal.
Kirkpatrick said: "The day went very well. It was competitive but played in the right spirit.
"We did not want to lose to them and neither did they. They had a couple of players who still live locally and we knew we would never hear the end of it if we had lost.
"I think they were probably the better team in the second half, they kept the ball very well, but I was pleased with how we played as well."
The Club held their end-of-season presentation night after the match with captain Ricky Trott taking two awards.
The goal scoring midfielder won the supporters' and players' player of the year for the first team while Dave Percival won the top goal scorer trophy with 35.
Michael Barnes was named young player of the year and Adam Nunn won the manager's player of year.
Shaun Daniels won the players' player of the year for the reserves with Simon Kitchen and Dan Crease winning the supporters' and manager's player of the year trophies.
Shaun Percival was the young player of the year and Booker Woodford was the top scorer.
