A NEW ground has to be Trowbridge Town's priority for next season as they again proved they are capable of playing at a higher standard.
In their first season in the Hellenic League Division One, the Bees took the title race to the final day before losing out by just one point to Shrivenham.
Further progress is impossible though while the club remain at their Woodmarsh home and work has been going on behind the scenes in an attempt to find a new ground.
A sense of frustration is growing among the players and if something is not sorted in the next few months, there is a danger the squad could break up.
But chairman John Fitchen insists there is good news on the horizon and if, as expected, a new site is named in the not too distant future, the club could be looking forward to an exciting next few years.
Last season's top scorer Dave Percival was at it again with 35 goals this campaign, while youngster Matt Cooper showed his potential with 14 goals and a number of eye-catching performances.
Andy Bloodworth was again hard working in midfield alongside the influential Ricky Trott while Adam Nunn brought some flair to the side.
As well as finishing runners-up in the league, Trowbridge enjoyed some good cup runs including a win over Premier Division Fairford Town.
Manager Neil Kirkpatrick has worked wonders in the last few seasons in getting the side to where they are today, but if the success story is to continue they need to know where there new home is going to be.
