Vanessa Lanham-CookTWO teenagers who married, then split up and spent 12 years apart, have put the seal on their rekindled romance with the birth of their third daughter.

Vanessa Lanham-Cook and ex-husband Jonathan, of Coronation Avenue, Bradford on Avon, got back together last year.

Their romance was re-born after Mr Lanham-Cook went to his elder daughter's school fashion show in October 2003, and the couple realised time apart had not changed their feelings.

Mrs Lanham-Cook, 38, pictured with baby Neve Carolanne, a sister for Selena, 17, and Jess, 15, on May 11, said: "It was totally unexpected. It's not the usual thing that happens. We just realised that we were first loves.

"We met when I was 17 and he was nearly 19 and were together a long time. But we were really young and just messed it up. You don't appreciate it when you are young but we just realised we were meant to be together."

After they parted both remarried and Mr Lanham-Cook, 40, has a six-year-old son, Dylan, from his second marriage.

He said: "Neve's birth has helped to re-bond the family. We would never have got back together if it had not been for the children, as we both had other partners."

Mrs Lanham-Cook, who has changed her name by deed poll said they are not ruling out marriage and plans to return to work as a midwife after her maternity leave. Her partner, a psychiatric nurse, has two weeks' leave before starting a new job in Bristol.
