Ref 77325A SWINDON singer has narrowly missed out on a place in a national karaoke competition.
Sarah Covey, 18, from Liden won the regional final of a competition organised by Yates's bars and secured a place in the semi-finals in Bournemouth.
She reached the last five at the semis but did not make it to Sunday's final in Leicester Square in London.
The winner has the chance to cut a demo CD at Abbey Road studios as well as a prize of £5,000.
Sarah said: "I'm a bit disappointed. I sang Bohemian Rhapsody, Think Twice and Hero. I think the songs went down well, but I didn't get through to the final."
Sarah, who has completed a performing arts course, currently works at an opticians.
