POLICE are appealing for help in solving an unprovoked assault on a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
The assault happened as three friends walked home from Clarendon School along Frome Road, Trowbridge, just before 4pm on May 6.
A woman with a young child yelled verbal abuse at one of the girls as they passed, before running up behind them and knocking one of the girls to the ground. The woman is described as white, thin, in her early 30s, with wavy dark black shoulder-length hair. She had a pierced lower lip with a bar in it. She was wearing a black and white patterned top and a knee length black jacket.
Anyone who can help police should contact Pc Steve Holbrow at Trowbridge police.
