I WAS admitted to the GWH for major surgery to remove a cancer of my colon, after which I had to have a stoma bag fitted.
Now these procedures really worried me and the family as we didn't know what to expect or how it may affect me.
Well, I had my surgery and I'm happier now than I've been in a long time. No more pain, get on great with my stoma, no worries.
I have to say that my surgeon Mr Burgess and his team of registrars and nurses explained beforehand exactly what would or could occur after my operation.
So Derrick and I thank you Mr Burgess and the team for all your help, we appreciate it very much.
Also I would like to thank my Derrick for all his support he's been wonderful, always on hand, always there for me.
As have all my family, so I thank you all. What a bunch you've all been!
