77507-22A SWINDON salon has proved it is a cut above the rest by being the first entrant in a national guide to good gentlemen's barbers.
Abstract 4 Men in Manchester Road has qualified for the Good Barbers Guide, which has only just started running.
The guide sets out a number of rules that must be obeyed, covering hygiene, the types of hair products being offered, and having clear and accurate pricing displayed. Abstract owner Jayne Renals said she was thrilled the salon had made the list. The salon, which offers similar services to women's hair salons such as tinting, eyebrow shaping and manicures and pedicures, opened in February this year and has proved there is a market for male grooming in Swindon.
"We're absolutely delighted because everyone here has worked very hard for it," said Jayne.
The Good Barbers Guide is a nationwide scheme for assessing professional gentlemen's hairdressing and grooming.
Salons are regularly reassessed.
