77538-11THE threat of poor weather did not stop more than 380 people participating in the twentieth annual Chisledon Primary School fun run on Sunday.
The event, organised by the school's Parent Teacher Association, plays host to two races and raises money for a number of school projects.
As well as helping fund school trips and classroom equipment, the event will help to finance the building of a covered walkway between the main school building and the mobile classrooms.
The main five-mile race attracted 260 entrants and was won by senior school pupil Chris Reade in 27 minutes, 3 seconds.
The mini-mile race was won by Key Stage 2 pupil Katie Westcott.
The Stan Burnup trophy is presented to the oldest competitor to finish the main race. The trophy serves as a memorial to Mr Burnup, who was one of the medallists in the first fun run.
