PEOPLE are reminded that the free weekly Swindon & District Talking Newspaper (STAN) gives blind and visually impaired people the means of keeping in touch with what's going on in the local community.
The newspaper is a 90-minute audiocassette tape. It contains 45 minutes of local news items from the Evening Advertiser, and 45 minutes of features of general interest including sport, local history, and music.
The Talking Newspaper is free to anyone who lives in the Swindon area and is unable to read newsprint for whatever reason.
Any wanting further information should call 01793 522511 and leave a message and contact number.
