THE Duchess of Northumberland, was in Ogbourne St George giving a talk on her famous garden at Alnwick Castle this weekend.
She gave the packed talk at Applegarth in the village at 1pm on Sunday.
The event, which included lunch, was organised by Kennet Valley Arts Trust for Riverbank, the campaign to build a theatre/cinema in Marlborough.
Trust secretary Rosie Hill said: "It was a fabulous talk and was very informative.
"To get support for this theatre/cinema project from such a prestigious figure was an honour."
The Duchess's controversial garden at Alnwick featured a host of plants that can kill you such as opium poppies and tobacco.
