AN innovative project that will make broadband internet available to members of the community who may otherwise miss out, opens its doors in Calne today.
E-Calne launches during National Adult Learning Week and will provide community access to broadband with computer equipment stationed in three venues James House in Broken Cross, Colemans Farm Learning and Community Centre and the Youth Drop-in Centre in Wood Street.
E-Calne will be launched using webcams for a live link-up between the three access centres.
Free training will be available to those people who are completely new to computers and want to know how to get started and how to use the internet for job searches, emailing and shopping online.
