HEAVY rain washed out all the local West of England League games and left captains frustrated.
They are now all planning victory in the coming week's games.
One team that wanted to get back to winning ways was Premier One side Corsham, after their four-wicket defeat to Keynsham.
Corsham captain, Neil Shardlow, said: "We called the game off at 10.30am because it had been drizzling all morning and there were a few showers.
"It did brighten up and we may have been able to get on but I think it was too wet. It was the right decision.
"It was disappointing not to play Bristol West Indians because it was one of the games we had earmarked to get something from."
Corsham host rock-bottom Frenchay this Saturday where they will be looking to avenge their two defeats last season.
They will be looking to stop Mark Harding who scored over 70 and 80 last year.
"They played well last year, which was the first time in the league, but I don't think they are as strong this year," said Shardlow.
Chippenham will be looking for a first win this season following a five-wicket Premier Two defeat to Downend two weeks ago. They host Old Bristolians Westbury.
Captain Trevor Lloyd said: "They beat us at our place and we beat them at theirs last season but we are looking for a first win and my side will be ready for them. We need that first win as soon as possible."
Devizes host Colwall in their Glos/Wilts One game after their trip to Bredon was also called off. They could be without Jon Couch, who has a rib injury, as they look to build on their success against Warminster.
Captain Andrew Hodder admitted he knows little about this weekend's visitors.
"We will be fielding as strong a side as possible without those who are at university,'' he said.
Goatacre host Warminster and will be looking to 113-run victory over Redmarley. Captain Sam Parish said: "It was a frustrating weekend and the weather saw all three league games and the scheduled National Village KO game at Spye Park cancelled.
"It was made even more frustrating as the team was starting to resemble the first choice eleven with the return of last year's captain Peter Turner and all rounder Jonathan Wilkins.
"This week, due to work and holiday commitments, the side will require a major reshuffle yet again."
Top of the table Swindon will travel to Bredon in Glos/Wilts One while Biddestone host Cinderford St John and Malmesbury visit Dumbleton in Glos/Wilts Two.
Also in Glos/Wilts Two, Marlborough take on Hinton Charterhouse.
