SWING into the first weekend of summer with the DS Big Band at Devizes Sports Club on June 3.
One of the west country's most highly regarded group of musicians, the 18 piece ensemble will be playing a variety of hits from all the jazz standards and all eras at a charity dance in aid of the Himalayan Trust.
Organisers Jacqui and James Monckton of Urchfont said they hoped to raise £1,000 to pay for a schoolteacher in the Himalayan region of Nepal.
The couple, both teachers, visited son Matthew when he was in Nepal and were struck by the poverty.
Tickets, £15, which include a curry supper, can be obtained at the club or by calling (01380) 840782.
