DEVIZES tennis coach Dan Tunstall hopes to emulate the success of his singing sensation sister KT when he takes to the courts this week.
Mr Tunstall, 26, is head coach at Devizes Tennis Club and proud of the incredible rise to fame of his elder sister.
KT's debut album, Eye To The Telescope, is currently at number 7 in the UK album charts while her second single release, Other Side Of The World, entered the UK singles chart at number 13 a week ago. She is due to complete her National Tour in Dublin tomorrow, the day before her little brother competes in the National Deaf Tennis Championships in Gloucester.
Mr Tunstall, will be aiming to extend his tremendous record at the Oxstalls Indoor Tennis Centre, over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Wiltshire-based Scot is a two-time former National Singles champion, having won the National title in 1997 and 1998 both years in which he scooped a clean sweep of Men's Singles, Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles titles.
Tunstall is the third seed for the Men's Singles this year, while Tunstall and Darren O'Donnell are top seeds for the Men's Doubles a title that Tunstall has won on three previous occasions.
KT, 29, is the middle of three children, and was adopted and grew up in a house without music. "The two things I could potentially admonish my adoptive parents about now are two of the most important things in what I'm doing," she said.
"We didn't even have a stereo in our house, so I didn't hear anything to the extent where it influenced me musically and they were completely without faith."
