Nature for All will be promoting the town's nature reserves throughout June.
The celebrations are designed to teach children about the natural environment in which they live.
Activities will begin on Tuesday, June 7 from 4pm at Sevenfields Nature Reserve, where children are invited to learn about the range of creepy crawlies living here. The Concert Bowl in the Town Gardens is being transformed into a luxurious ballroom for the 'Butterfly Ball' on Saturday, June 11 at 4pm.
On June 14, from 10am to 8pm the Swindon Ranger Team is inviting people to Barbury Castle for their 'Design and Amaze' event to help peg out a giant butterfly maze.
Then on Saturday, June 18, the 'Big Bug Bonanza' will encourage people to search for a bug at Coate Water.
At the Dragonfly Daze on Sunday, June 19 from noon, there will be the chance to make your own dragonflys.
The month's celebrations will end with 'Amazing Barbury' on Sunday, June 26, from noon at Barbury Castle.
People will be able to go and walk the maze and enjoy butterfly arts and crafts. Nature for All is a Swindon Services Ranger project, which is sponsored by English Nature and the Big Lottery Fund.
