BIDDESTONE crashed to a 54-run defeat at Bath Civil Service on Saturday in division seven of the Wiltshire League.
In the only Wiltshire League match to survive the weather, Civil service batted first and finished on 253-5.
Mark Thorne, 129 not out, and Richy Cope, 50 not out, added 89 in their last 10 overs to set Biddestone a tough target. Biddestone's Howard Morland took 3-52 in 12 overs.
After a rain delay, Biddestone were set 197 to get in 35 overs but closed on 143-7, with Mark Sawyer top scoring on 51.
