Stanley and Phyllis Rix (30542)A COUPLE who are set to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary this week say there is "no secret" to a successful marriage.
Stanley Rix, 82 and his wife Phyllis, 80, of Boreham Road, Warminster, were married 60 years ago on May 31.
They are having a party for their family and friends tomorrow.
Mr Rix who is originally from Norwich said: "I don't think there is any secret to a successful marriage.
"We met in Warminster Park all those years ago and we have been happy ever since."
Mrs Rix has lived in Warminster all her life and met her husband during World War II when he was stationed in Sutton Veny.
Mrs Rix said: "We always consider each other.
"I try and make him happy and he does the same.
"For whatever reason we just clicked and have been happy ever since we met."
The couple have one son, Michael, 58 and two granddaughters, Claire, 30, and Miranda, 28.
They also have two great-granddaughters, Imogen, eight, and Olivia, six.
