WHILST I realise the council will do anything for money and appears to have no concerns that the cost of parking is losing custom to the town, eg if one must pay, naturally people prefer to go to a town where it is possible to have a choice of shops there really is no choice in Warminster.

There is however other harm being done by the cost of parking.

For those who cannot get to the chemist for prescriptions, until recently friends have done this but they can no longer afford to do so.

To leave one's car for five minutes a parking charge has to be paid, as it does by carers. In one case a carer has to park about three times in an hour and pay each time. No wonder it is difficult to find people to do the job if much of their salary has to go to the council for car parking charges.

May I suggest the council take note of this and do something about it, or would they like to become carers and collect elderly people's prescriptions? No doubt they prefer a position where they put up their so-called expenses!
