I HAVE lived in Granville Road for 45 years. When I first moved here we had everything in Melksham, now we have nothing, only houses and fish and chips.
We could have had a very nice shopping centre which would help all of Melksham and the centre of town. Why is it other towns have been able to have all these changes and we are the poor ones who have always lagged behind and have nothing?
I am now ashamed to live here. We all have to go out of town to do our shopping. There are only one or two silly little shops who think they run the town.
I am afraid I am like so many more who are against all these houses.
Let's get back to a busy town like it used to be and get a shopping centre instead of all this building of houses.
We, the people of Melksham, seem to have given up trying. We seem to get nowhere; are we too late? Who knows, we might win yet.
