Jamie Cullum who visited Lethbridge Primary School yesterday Picture Ref: 77633-62JAZZ musician Jamie Cullum was in town last night to promote his dad's business.
The 25-year-old star from Hullavington helped launch a new water cooler specifically designed for schools and colleges.
Jamie posed for pictures alongside pupils from Lethbridge Primary School. Dad John, who is chairman of Premier Watercoolers, presented the winners of a prize draw with a free dispenser.
The cooler, which contains a built-in filter, connects directly to the main water supply.
Mr Cullum senior said: "We're delighted to have developed a water-cooler that allows schools to offer constant fresh filtered water from a safe and hygienic dispenser. I imagine that most parents would probably prefer their children to sip on water than fizzy drinks."
Jamie has just finished recording a new album, which is due out in September.
The name of the album has not yet been revealed but he said fans are in for a treat.
"It has taken three-and-a-half weeks to record but I've enjoyed every minute," said Jamie, who has penned most of the songs.
The musician, who is famous for taking jazz to new levels, added: "Jazz is about improvisation. This new album has more piano and my brother Ben plays a bit of bass."
