DO other readers have the same problems as me with the Royal Mail? And are we paying for their pay bonus with our lost mail?

I have sent several post orders which have been lost by them for several amounts of cash, the latest being sent twice, the second time by recorded delivery which did arrive after being posted through the wrong door and not signed for. So why did I have to pay for delivery service which did not happen? Or like I said, are we paying for their bonuses and not for a service?
