THE oft-quoted truism "never trust the experts" most certainly applies in respect of the highly paid executives who have presided over the nationwide collapse of occupational pension funds.

Locally, Rover, Courts furnishers and Wiltshire County Council pension funds are examples of their gross incompetence.

As a fully paid up Section 1 member of the AEU, AUEW and now Amicus trade union, I inquired of local trade union official Jim D'Avila why the trade union officials and their solicitors had not intervened long ago in this matter, but was not given a satisfactory answer.

The Labour Government of Tony Blair, who claim to be champions of the working class, have stood idly by while this industrial treachery has taken place.
