A SEWERAGE lorry tipped on its side and caused delays on the Great Western Way.

The lorry was at the Cockleberry Roundabout at about 1.30pm yesterday when the main spring holding the axle together fell off.

And when it hit the ground the spring then got stuck in the cement.

PC John England, of Swindon's Traffic Police said: "It caused an inconvenience.

"The roundabout was reduced to a single lane but people were still able to get round it."

It took three hours for the lorry to be recovered and no one was injured.
