Car thieves are targeting Upper Stratton. Seven vehicles were hit on Saturday night promoting a police warning for motorists to be vigilant.
Inspector Duncan Mason, of Swindon police, urged drivers to heed the advice of the Evening Advertiser-backed Clear Your Car campaign.
The message of the poster campaign was that leaving valuables on display is tantamount to inviting thieves to target your car.
Insp Mason said: "Even a small amount of cash left on the dashboard can be enough to attract attention.
"You could find yourself spending £50 on repairs just because £2 or £3 was stolen."
Three cars targeted were parked at the Premier Club in Ermin Street.
A Renault Clio, a Suzuki and a Peugeot 306 had windows smashed. Police are unsure whether anything was stolen.
Other areas targeted were Meadowcroft, Kingsdown Road, Beechcroft Road and Pearce Close.
A CD player was taken from a Ford Fiesta while 20 CDs were snatched from a Peugeot 306.
Thieves also broke into a Nissan people carrier and a Vauxhall Vivaro but nothing was taken.
Anyone with information about the thefts should call Swindon police on 01793 528111.
