77639-12CHILDREN attending a popular pre-school now have even more reason to be happy.
The Broad Town Pre-School, which is just outside Wootton Bassett, has secured a £7,000 grant from the Local Network Fund which means pupils will have new equipment, extra sessions and a refurbished building.
Pre-school chairman Michelle Wallis, 36, is delighted they have secured this cash.
She said: "We live in a rural community and the children are disadvantaged because they don't have many amenities.
"The aim of the money is to expand the pre-school and to offer extra sessions.
"It's going to really benefit the children."
It means the pre-school, which currently only opens in the mornings, will now be able to offer four extra afternoon sessions.
There will now be a dedicated session for two-and-a-half to four-and-a-half year olds.
New play equipment, gardening equipment, baby changing mats and new kitchen units will also be bought.
A part-time administrator will also be employed to take on some of the work the volunteers do.
