AS I was the person who set up the online version of the Save Coate petition at www.petition-online.com/savecoat/petition.html Mr W Duggan (letters Evening Advertiser May 24) might like to know that multiple voting is blocked by this server.
He might also be reassured to know that only eight per cent of people who have signed the petition used the Internet.
The majority have signed the paper version.
Might I suggest that Mr Duggan starts up his own petition for people who support the desecration of an area that has strong historic, literary and recreational attractions next to a sensitive nature reserve instead of criticising thousands of local people who wish to see this area protected for further generations.
