A HIGHWORTH family looking after their autistic son are looking for volunteers to help with his care.
The 11-year-old's parents, who asked us not to name the youngster, use the Son-rise care programme to give him as much special attention as possible.
This American programme dedicates time to children suffering with autism.
Mum Sima Hunter, 47, said: "We have dedicated a room in the house for the programme.
"It is a 'yes' room where we make contact with his world and then encourage him to make contact with our world."
At the moment the family only has time to spend a few hours a day in the room.
They are looking for volunteers who can help look after their son in this special environment.
The family also needs help with raising funds to take their son to America for a two-week intensive session with Son-rise.
If you think you can help call Mrs Hunter on, 01793 762307.
