THE Greenmeadow Primary School football team have enjoyed a very successful season. They won the Swindon Central Primary School Football League having played and won all seven of their league matches.
Additionally the school team represented Swindon in the Kellogg's regional six-a-side tournament after winning the play-offs at the County Ground.
The success has been attributed to a whole team approach where the leadership of the senior players, including captain Kyle Fullerton, Michael Diss and Lewis Petrie, has been all important.
The team's season finished with a mini tournament played against Ascot United at Greenmeadow Primary School.
Ascot United's players and parents entered into the spirit and made it a great day, and gained their reward when they defeated Greenmeadow A in the final.
