POLICE are appealing for information after a bag snatcher struck in Swindon on Friday night.
A 46-year-old woman was approached by a man on a bike who tried to grab her handbag.
Initially she managed to hang onto her bag but the thief used force to snatch it away from her.
The victim fell to the ground in the struggle and suffered a minor leg injury.
The attack happened at around 10.30pm in the town but police have not revealed the location.
The woman's black handbag, which had a gold chain on it, contained £30 in cash, keys and a Motorola mobile phone.
The suspect is described as male, wearing dark clothing, possibly a hooded top or a baseball cap and riding a bike.
