A PUB might seem a strange place to be discussing the sciences, but one Swindon pub is doing just precisely that.
The GW pub, opposite Swindon railway station is holding a BarScience talk tomorrow.
Gareth James, who is from the National Space Centre in Leicester, will be speaking on the subject of space exploration in the upstairs room of the GW pub from 7.30 to 8.30pm.
Bar Science gives pub regulars the chance to find out about solar system exploration and some of the recent and upcoming involvement by UK companies and scientists.
Britain has a significant input into many major space missions through its own programmes, the European Space Agency, NASA and a vareity of other space organisations.
The talk is run by Caf Scientifique, a national network, which aims to make science more accessible.
Organisers say the event is a great opportunity for people to find out more about the subject and to chat about the various issues over a drink.
The event is free and all are welcome.
