ADRIAN and Alison Wheeler will leave a lasting mark on a new Wroughton housing estate.
The Wheelers are the first to buy a home at The Limes on the site of the former RAF Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Topical memorabilia, including a copy of the Evening Advertiser, was buried in what will be their back garden.
Presenting the capsule to the Wheelers, Peter Carpinelli, managing director of Ward Homes South West, which is building the estate, said: "In the south east, Ward Homes has been a big name in housbuilding since 1935 and highly regarded for the quality of its design, but we are a newcomer to this region.
"The first phase of 45 homes includes three and four-bedroom houses and already we have sold a number to people keen to live in this ideal location."
The Wheelers already live in Wroughton. Mr Wheeler said: "We didn't want to move away from this area."
A show home has opened on the estate, and prices start from £200,000. To find out more call 01793 845517.
