A NEW police initiative aimed at encouraging residents to help tackle anti social behaviour has come into effect in Wootton Bassett.
The initiative, which has already proved successful in Swindon and Malmesbury, has been introduced by PC Phil Connor and allows residents to fill out forms detailing any anti social behaviour they experience.
The forms from the library and council offices are given to police and trouble spots are targeted.
PC Connor said: "This is aimed at targeting low-level crime acts that result in harassment, alarm or distress to members of the public.
"That can include large groups of youths gathering in an intimidating manner, littering, abusive language or nuisance neighbours."
