WILTSHIRE schools and businesses are being urged to sign up for Casuals for Casualties a fundraising dress down day for St John Ambulance.
"We would like local bosses to let their staff or pupils wear casual clothes for one day in return for a £1 donation to St John," said Murat Ismail, community fundraising officer at the charity. "This will help us raise vital funds to support the work we do in Wiltshire."
Casuals for Casualties will be taking place nationwide on June 24 and many organisations will also be arranging additional fundraising activities such as raffles, competitions or cake sales.
"We would like as many schools, colleges and businesses as possible to organise their own day," said Mr Ismail. "Of course, if your workplace or school is normally casually dressed you could suggest a dress up day."
St John Ambulance has 44,000 volunteer members who are committed to caring and saving lives. Volunteers give 10,000 hours of service every day and treat approximately 200,000 casualties a year.
