Thomas Wilmott, 5, at a mask workshop in the Outlet Village Picture Ref: 77689-12YOUNG Star Wars fans made light sabres out of balloons at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet village.
The shopping centre in Swindon is playing host to seven days of activities celebrating the release of Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith.
And children were invited to make the Jedi fighting weapon using balloons.
Jenny Williams, the centre's marketing executive, said: "The theme has been Star wars because of the hype of the film.
"It is keeping children as well as their parents happy."
The event began on Saturday with a mile-long Find the Force treasure hunt in aid of the national Macmillan Miles Challenge. During the hunt children were challenged to find a number of life-size Star Wars characters that had been hidden around the retail centre.
On Sunday, Storm Troopers and Darth Vader greeted shoppers, who were able to have their picture taken with the sci-fi villains.
Activities are noon to 4pm, ending tomorrow. Children will be invited to make badges today and alien stilt walking will bring the week to a close.
