RECENTLY Gordon Brown was the prime mover in proposing the cancellation of Third World debts. Now, he and other financial experts, are intending to pour billions into Africa.

May I remind these leaders of the names Ceacescu, Mugabe, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein, Nkruma, Mobuto. These are a few of the corrupt leaders who did extremely well when in power.

Currently, we have the king of Swaziland who bought, with the nation's money, a luxury car for himself, and seven more for each of his wives! The people of Swaziland have to exist on a pittance.

There are corrupt political people waiting in the wings for this bonanza. It is useless to have promising talks with current leaders, because tomorrow they may have been replaced by someone else.

The only way in which the common people can be helped, is by actually placing cash in their hands, and how that could be done I have no idea. Remember Oxfam a few years ago, when a million pounds went missing?
