IT is incredible your paper aired so much of James Gray's attempts to play down the fact that the Scottish Conservative Party were so incensed by his complete ineptitude, that they demanded he was sacked.
Anyone suggesting otherwise should read the article discussing this in the Scotsman newspaper.
He didn't resign. He may have written a letter saying so, but effectively he was told to leave, because he quite obviously had no knowledge of Scottish political issues, and was, despite being as he so often points out a member of the TA, and incredibly a shadow defence secretary, was quite obviously lacking in any knowledge of the very high profile issue of the disbanding of Scottish Army regiments.
This is quite an achievement for someone who is Scottish and a previous shadow defence secretary
The quote: "It's nice to get back to being a backbencher'' and it will give me more time for North Wiltshire'' is good PR but fills me with foreboding. Is North Wiltshire going to get more of James Gray's time? Let's hope Micheal Howard can find him another job.
