WINSLEY CRICKET: AVAILABILITY problems continue to blight Winsley's season as their poor start to their Bristol and North Somerset League campaign took another turn for the worse on Saturday.

A 120 run defeat at Timsbury leaves them without a win in four matches and languishing at the bottom of the table, 15 points behind nearest rivals Pak Bristolians.

Captain Andy Ellett admits his side were outplayed as Timsbury raced to 286-5, but hopes his side's problems will ease with the return of a few key players.

He said: "The big issue for us is unavailability as we have not been able to put out a full strength side in any match yet.

"Hopefully once the season settles in we will be able to field a consistent side and then the performances and results should show that."

After limiting Timsbury to just 18 runs off the first ten overs, some loose bowling and sloppy fielding saw the hosts gain control by finishing their allotted overs on 286-5.

In reply, Andy Cross (60) and Kunal More (41) put up spirited resistance but it was never going to be enough as they finished on 166-8.

Winsley entertain Hambrook tomorrow.
