WESTBURY were celebrating on Monday after going through the Bruton Super 8s tournament unbeaten to lift the trophy.
The format of the competition was six, eight-ball overs per innings with teams playing each other on a round robin basis.
Westbury comfortably sealed a place in the semi-final with wins over Sparkford, Wincanton, and Langley Manor.
After defeating Castle Combe by a wide margin in the semi final, Westbury met Sparkford again in the final but found them tougher opposition than they had been previously.
Sparkford's Matt Dyer showed good form with the bat but the Westbury bowling attack of Andy Carroll, Liann Botes and Steve Edwards were able to contain Dyer to a point where Sparkford were unable to reach Westbury's total of 67, falling just 11 runs short.
Westbury club chairman Keith Wright, said: "All in all it was a most enjoyable afternoon, with Westbury continuing their good early season league form with an exceptionally good all round team performance."
After months of preparation Westbury unveiled their new netting facility at Leighton Sports Ground.
Wright said the new two lane artificial netting facility was badly needed.
He said: "With sometimes upwards of 50 youngsters from seven to 15 years of age requiring coaching the old single lane artificial wicket was far too inadequate.
"With sponsorship from Ross Hillman, Colin Cooper, Chantry Television and grants from SOLVE and supporting cricket organisations, we were eventually able to raise enough funding to complete the project.
"A lot of the manual work was performed by volunteer club members, with support from Trevor Dolman and Kenny Dark being particularly appreciated.
"It is now hoped the youth section will continue to improve and that all teams will reap the benefit of the facility."
